DESCRIPTION:ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE A RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM for 2024(can be completed at the EVENT)\nDATE: May 4, 2024\nTIME: 8:00 am –  We will begin walking at 8:15 am.\nATTENDEES – Members and non-members are welcome\nMEET LOCATION: small parking lot on the left past the upper Ore Dock, across from Presque Isle boat ramp, Upper Harbor, Marquette, Michigan\nLEADER(s): Brian Murphy\nCONDITIONS: the trail consists of dirt, wood decking, sandy dunes, a beach, some muck, some uneven footing, and not much shade. No bathrooms during the main walk; bring water, snack, sunscreen, and bug dope. Wear sturdy shoes and rugged (LONG) pants. Please come prepared for the predicted weather.\nPLAN: from the main trail entrance, we will hike counter-clockwise around the bog, visit the beach area, cut across to Moosewood Nature Center, and then back up the dirt maintenance road. We will also check out the boat dock area and Beach Island Road. Then, for those interested, we will walk the perimeter of Presque Isle (about 1.5 – 2 mile walk) Please do not play bird recordings. Please inform your guide if you leave early.  Important – Please review our birding guidelines.
