Heideman is the author of The Caving Grounds, A Brief Report on the Human Animal, and Psalms of the Early Anthropocene. She has completed artist residencies with the National Park Service, watersheds, research stations, private foundations, and the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Artists & Writers Program. Drawn to wild and threatened places, she works to defend them as a board member of the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition. Curious woman.\n \nATTENDEES: This trip is for LWBA members only.\n \n \nMEET LOCATION: Meet at the parking area in front of the PEIF on the NMU Campus at 7 AM sharp.\n \n \nMEET-UP TIME: 7:00 am     END – Please bring your own bag lunch. Some beverages and snacks will be provided.\n \nCONDITIONS: Check the weather forecast and come dressed for hiking through a variety of habitats. Bug dope is highly recommended.\n \n \nPLAN:  Great opportunity to see/hear many species in a new area for our chapter.  Bring water, sunscreen, bug dope, comfy walking shoes, a hat, and snacks. Following lunch, Kathleen is willing to lead interested birders to visit the nearby Andersen Pond, a short drive to the west.
