MEET LOCATION: Mattson Lower Harbor Park near playground

PLAN: After meeting, we will bird the lower harbor and then travel by car to various birding spots in Marquette, mostly simple park and bird along the lake shore.

CONDITIONS: mostly easy drive, stop and bird along the shoreline and Presque Isle area, which could involve some muddy areas. Bathrooms along the route. Dress for the weather.

BIRDING: We will meet at 7:30 at Mattson Park to look for water birds in the Lower Harbor. At 8, the group will drive to the Dead River Marshes (schneider mill ct) and walk and bird that area. We will then drive to Clark Lambros Beach, park for a brief stop, then will drive to the Bog Walk on Presque Isle for a short hike. Finally, we will walk some trails around Presque Isle and likely finish around noon. Timing at each location will depend on bird activity and group interest.
